Dynamic Thresholds for a Reliable Diagnosis of Switched Systems

Safety, availability and reliability are the main concern of many industries. Thus, fault detection isolation industrial machines, which in most cases switched systems, is a primary task companies. The presented paper proposes new diagnostic approach for systems using two powerful tools: bond graph observer. A layer detects model errors graph, smart algorithm identifies locates faults Although observers serve as detectors, they also have their own caused by convergence delay calculations; even case no sensor defect, residue does not converge to zero. In this paper, we propose method solve problem integrating dynamic thresholds procedure, helped avoid false alarms ensure highly reliable diagnosis.
